The Relationships

Mugen is the brash smartass. A laid back young man who enjoys eating, sleeping, women, and swordfighting. Orphaned at a young age, he raised himself in rough neighborhoods and has no qualms over forcefully taking your money.

Of her two companions, Fuu seems to relate more to Mugen with their similar open personalities. Mugen can be unreliable sometimes which upsets Fuu but she continues to have faith in him and gives him the benefit of the doubt. With his reckless nature, Fuu seems to be more concerned about Mugen's welfare the most. When Fuu finds herself in a tight spot and endangered, Mugen is usually the first to come to Fuu's help.

Jin is the classically trained swordsman. Almost as if he were two different people, Jin can be the stoic and impassive young man that allows the other two to drag him around or the lightening quick warrior that comes alive in battle.

At the beginning, Jin's quiet and stoic personality kept Fuu from being too close. However, despite his quiet attitude Fuu still cares for him when he gets in trouble and vice versa. Fuu probably sees Jin as the more skilled of the two so she's more comfortable with Jin on his own when certain situations come up. As they continue further along in their journey Fuu comes to rely on Jin's stable and comforting figure through the rough times.
